The Client shall be responsible for damage caused by guests, venue staff, or third parties to DJ-owned equipment beyond normal wear and tear.

7. MUSIC REQUESTS

Final music selection remains at the DJ's professional discretion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. RECORDING AND MEDIA

The Client may photograph or record portions of the performance for personal use.

Commercial use, broadcast, resale, or promotional distribution of recordings requires prior written permission from the DJ.

The DJ retains all intellectual property rights related to original performances, mixes, recordings, and promotional materials.

9. CANCELLATION POLICY

If the Client cancels:

More than 30 days before event:
Deposit retained.

15-30 days before event:
50% of total fee becomes due.

Less than 15 days before event:
100% of total fee becomes due.

If the DJ cancels due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond reasonable control, all payments received shall be refunded unless a mutually acceptable replacement DJ is provided.

10. FORCE MAJEURE

Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

- Natural disasters
- Government restrictions
- Severe weather
- Transportation disruptions
- Public emergencies
- Venue closures

The parties will attempt in good faith to reschedule the event whenever possible.

11. INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR STATUS

The DJ is an independent contractor and not an employee, agent, or representative of the Client.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The DJ shall not be liable for:

- Venue power failures
- Internet outages
- Equipment failures caused by venue infrastructure
- Event interruptions beyond the DJ's control
- Indirect or consequential damages

13. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Any dispute arising from this Agreement shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties before pursuing legal remedies.

14. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of [State/Country].

15. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

This document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior discussions and understandings.
